Just finished this Primitive Scarecrow ~ on his post... I'm a little late on the fall and harvest items but, this sweet fella is sure to put a smile on your face. :D He is not made from a pattern and is OOAK my own design.
He is a round head doll that has been put through my grungy process...  He is wearing a nice pumpkin colored homespun shirt complete w/ a patch on his tattered sleeve,  blue jeans w/ a patch and rope for a belt. His hat is burlap w/ a rusty saftey pin and I tucked in some Sweet Dried Ann and topped it w/ a tiny little crow. I needle sculpted the crow's beak and he has seed beads for eyes. The scarecrow's post I made from old barn wood secured with a squarehead nail... Sitting on his post are some indian corn and a grungy little pumpkin w/ a stick for a stem~  that has been painted, sanded and put through the grungy process.  I will be listing him on ebay ;)

Hello Everyone... If you should stumble on this blog by some accident ~ I hope you will follow me. Thanks so much if you do. ;)
I've been so busy the last couple of years that I haven't had time to make dolls and other primitive things. My husband and I restored a late 1800's farmhouse located in Jonesborough, TN a couple of years ago and then decided to sell the home. I homeschooled my 2 boys and had a full time job during this time and needless to say my husband and I were burning the candle at both ends.
Now, with the encouragement from family and friends I have decided to pursue this full time as of now I have the time to create... I will be sharing some of my creations little by little. ;) Most of my items are OOAK and are my original design unless otherwise stated.
So, I hope you enjoy your visit and if you are interested in one of my items ~ please don't hesitate to email me.
